Well my friend got a new chevy 5.3 litre and wanted to race me so we go out with all our friends to dump road.. and we take off i get the jump im kicking his arse hit 3rd gear and BLAWWWWWWWWW my truck spudderd and bogged down so i back off of it... I had just hit 3rd and it did it at high RPMS so I did not know if it was major or what so i turn around and drive a about 20 feet and it is still doing it...I put my truck into N and Rev it sounds clean so i take back off to the starting line and it is doing it again!? get down there and it just barely wants to run... cuts off sometimes and just soudns awful give it full WOT and it barely is making any nosse no rev at all... Well my gas gauge does not work so it could be just out of gas? I fired it up again and it sounds like my cold air intake is not sucking ANY air at all if anything blowing it out!? and my friend thought he could hear predetonation... we tow the truck home and put 4 gallons of gas in it and it takes a minute but it runs better...but it is idling rough and jsut does not sound right when i rev it a little we stood by my turn down exaust and could hear it missing every now and again and it idles rough... We changed the plugs autolights went with what the truck called for and it had splitfires in it god knows why!? (I bought it used) well it does not sound much better at ALL... Maybe since it possible ran so low on gas trash or something got into my injectors?? If so do you think some kind of gas treatment would do the trick?
Keep in mind this is a R/T Dak 5.9 it has mopar pcm,headers,taylor wires,cold air intake,dump off exaust,TB spacer,and 107K
any help I would appreciate !

I've had a similiar problem when accelerating real hard. Try replacing you're throttle position sensor its on the side of the throttle body. Easy to change and I got one at Autozone for $25.00. $75 at dodge! Better throttle response and fixed a surging problem I had also might have had some to do with shifting weirdness! You're trucks got a 107,000 miles on it I'd say its due anyway. Mine went out at 26k also might try oxygen sensors?

last year mine did the same thing. i had it idling with the a/c on. when i went to give it gas it started to sputter real bad and didn't want to go. there was also alot of smoke coming from the exhaust. i had it towed home and after musch brain bashing and a couple friends helping out we figured out that the pcm and the coil was shot. i chagned out both of them and it fired right up. the pcm was so hot you couldn't hardly touch it. apparently the heat from the headers was too much for the pcm and the coil. ended up changing out 2 pcms because of the heat from the headers. since then i have wrapped my headers and put a shield between the pcm and the headers with a fan on the back side of the pcm to help keep it cool.

Also, check your cap/rotor. Probably never been changed and it will cause mis-firing.

Josh: You don't mention the year of your truck but I had a similar problem with my 89 and it turned out to be the EGR valve.

You may want to try replacing your crank postition sensor, they are often the problems associated with these magnum blocks running crappy. They have an electronic ignition so a crank position sensor may be the basis of where all of your problems are
