I HAVE A 93' DAKOTA, IT WILL BE RUNNING FINE, AND THEN JUST OUT OF NO WHERE DIE, BUT IT WILL START AGAIN IF YOU TURN THE KEY OFF AND THEN ON AGAIN,
BUT IF YOU DON'T TURN THE KEY OFF IT WON'T START, SOME TIMES IT DOES IT AND SOME TIMES IT DOESN'T, PLEASE REPLY WITH ANY SUGGESTIONS.

take off the tube that runs from your air cleaner to your throttle body and spray some carb cleaner in your tb and with a rag wipe all the carbon out of there. also hold your throttle doen so you can get on the other side of the flap. (forget what the flap is called so thats why i called it that)
good luck. or Fuel Filter take it off and try blowing through it if it is hard to blow through then you know it plugged, you'll know if it is plugged. I'd say it's the fuel filter but try both.

if this quits just out of the blue, then that is your pcm getting hot. had a friend that had the exact same problem. replaced the pcm and no problem after that.

I had a car once that did that. It was the ignition coil. I know if the ignition coil is bad the truck shouldn't start or run at all, but sometimes it has just enough to get it to go for a while then just up and die. I would try the other stuff first, because this is less likely, but if they don't work, it's a cheap item to replace before moving on to the more expensive stuff.

yeah - i just bought a new ignition coil tonight. I have the exact same problem, so hopefully it works.

My best guess is ignition switch > Contacts wore out > Making and breaking contact at will or small bumps maybe > Next time it happens hit your calumn a few times > See if it starts to run again or tries
