 Subject: 1998 9 1/4 Diferential Carrier removal

Would appreciate a brief desciption on how to remove the carrier assy. from the differential housing. I've been told about a special tool that is inserted through the axle tubes. Not real up on the chrysler rear ends. Is this tool needed or is there an easier way. Thanks

you need a spreader tool it fits in the 2 cups on the back of the rear its expensive if only needed once but if you want to have one call dealer for number to dana tool comp
