 Subject: Overdrive and Fault Code Question

93 Dakota V-6 Auto. Occasionally it won't shift
into overdrive. Problem first showed-up during hot
weather. Stopping and restarting the engine seemed
to cure it, but that may have been coincidental.
Doing it more frequently now, but it never seems
to occur during the first drive of the day. Is
there any common problem here, like a relay or
possibly solenoid/wiring etc.?
It also died a couple times on me the last few
days while approaching stop lights. Restarted OK.
Getting fault code 3-6 "Air Switching Solenoid
Circuit" (according to Haynes). How do you clear
the error codes? Thanks in advance for a
