Subject: Rear Speaker Installation

Message:
Simple question for anyone listening: I'm installing Pioneer 6 1/2" speakers in front and back of my 2000 club cab. Got the front ones in, they sound great--but I'm having trouble getting at the rear ones.

Can anyone volunteer how-to remove the side trim panels in the club cab? I've pushed, pulled, and tugged as much as I dare, don't want to break any clips. I'm looking around the 'net, but no luck yet.

Thanks for the help!

You have to unscrew the seatbelts, remove the top panel, remove the bottom panel and there you are.

It isn't super easy so be careful.

If you break off any of the clips that's fine. Just go buy more at the dealership and send the broken ones to me. I'll pay shipping and handling. R/Truck know my hidden agenda. =)

doogster, if you're still reading this, how do they sound? And were you able to get those rear panels off yet? ;)

I'm getting some 6 1/2 pioneer 3 way TS-A1667 speakers for the front and back... they should be here on May 1st. I'm not looking forward to removing those rear panels.
