I just replaced my front Stock Infinity speakers with Pioneer 2 ways. Now the speakers seem to overdrive. I have the bass only up about 1/4 of the way and the fade to the rear about 1/2. THe speakers seem to hit really hard and sound really bad, almost like a loud pop instead of your normal bass sound. Question: Are the factory Infinity 6 3/4 and tweeters a component system? The tweeters still sound fine but the door speakers are terrible. I though it was vibrations or something, but I have them very secure. Anyone have any idea's (and I don't want to hear buy different speakers!)? Thanks!
Also since I'm writting this, I have a '02 stock AM/FM/CD/CASS that I'm willing to sell, any takers? Also I have the rear two way stock Infinity speakers.
Any while I'm at it, does anyone have an extra Stock Infinity Front speaker? I may just end up putting them back in it I can fix this issue with the Pioneers' but I broke one of them by accident.

Are you certain that the polarity is correct?
I haven't replaced my speakers yet, but is there anything inside the doors ie. foam, insulation, etc...? Not a bad idea to add some.
May also want to put in some sound deadening material such as dynomat in the inside of the door.
Were they cheap Pioneers? They just might not be able to handle the power, but probably not if your replacing Infinitys.

Haven't filled the door yet. What wondering how to do that with the window and whatnot exposed. They were $50 one's, but I thought anything would be good enough. The punch is just so high and VERY annoying. I can't handle it. I'm going to try and move the good Pioneer 3 ways I have in the back to the front and see if it really is the speakers.

Tom G How much for the stock Cass/CD player. Bought my truck on Friday. Decided on Monday that I wanted a CD player. Went back to the dealer and my salesperson said it was too much paperwork to get me a CD player installed! SHe SUCKS!
