did you take the large front panel off that covers the whole dash off yet? well if you did there should be only two screws to get out then it slides right out, well thats how it was for mine, what year is your truck?

I just recently changed out the head unit on my 97 Dakota. All you have to do is pull of the large dash panel that goes from the left of the steering column to the right of the head unit. Just be careful not to beak it. If yours is like mine then there are no screws. It just pops out. It is very scary taking it off for the first time, but once you have done it once it is very easy. Hope this helps.

yeah, you have to pull the whole front pannel off and there are a BUNCH of clips, you can pull pretty hard, none of mine broke, but be careful, good luck
