So far only the radio, CD changer, amp and DSP/EQ/crossover are in. It still took 3 full days (20-24 hours total) to do it - there is NO room back there especially if you still want the seats to function (like I did) and not lose your jack. Those rear seats sure get heavy after you moved them for like the 100th time ;)

Anyway... take a look and tell me what you think. It's a shame to do all this custom work and nobody will see it since it's all hidden behind the seats. Still, if your going to doing something do it right my father always said :)

Nice Job! Very neat. Look at my web page to see what I did for my sub box. You may find it interesting.

Very nice and very clean! The best part is everything that came with the truck is still functionable. Don't see that much anymore! Got a few questions about your DSP. what unit is it and do you have sub controls with it. I was thinkin about gettin one for my clarion.

i wish i was that talented

i have a 99 club cab and my sub box is just sitting on the back seat behind me and my amp is in the floorboard of that back seat. i don't like the looks but without a thunderform or some serious custom work that's the only option i have :(

TonyC - yeah I've seen your pictures before - very nice.

pappie1 - it is the DPH7500z. You'll need a Clarion unit with CNET to control it. It has tons of features: 7 band graphic EQ, 3 band parametric EQ, subwoofer volume control, low and hi-pass crossover control (50, 80, 120Hz), digital sound processing with rear delay and custom fields (hall, church, club and so on). The best part is that the radio controls everything so once you put the DSP unit you never have to mess with it again. In addition the signal that goes to it is digital so you get no addition noise or distortion by adding it. Plus you get the graphic display on the radio. I bought all Clarion stuff just because of this DSP unit, it did everything I needed in ONE compact hidden unit vs getting (and wiring) a seperate EQ and crossover, plus finding where to put them.

MarkL & NJQCDak - speakers will be Infinity 6.5" Referrence components up front and co-axles in the rear. A single Kicker L5 8" behind the center console in a sealed .5 cuft. box on the floor in front of the rear seats. Just got to save up the $ might be a few months. Everything you see in this install (except the wiring of course) was from my previous vehicle.

Thanks for the compliments, it was a b!tch to get all that stuff back there, making it look good and keeping the functionality of the seats. About 10 years ago I placed 3rd in local sound-off comp with my Honda Civic and four 10" Kicker subs, I've been doing this awhile so the experience really helps.
