I'm wanting to replace my speakers to go w/ Kappa's all around but I was hoping someone would know how many and what size all the speakers are in the QC? Also do you know where we can get a Speaker box for under the back seat?

I believe they are 6.75" all around, but you can use 6.5" no problem with a spacer ring (made of 3/4" MDF). The OEM speaker mounts are not conventional in that they have plastic spacers around the speakers making it a little difficult to just drop in new speakers. Trace the old speaker on a sheet of 3/4" MDF, then trace your new speakers mounting diameter circle, cut it out, and then drill new mounting holes. You have a spacer ring.

I don't know if anyone makes a sub encolsure for the QC yet. I know they make them for the CC.

;-) I thought they were all 6 3/4 but I wanted to double check. I guess I'll have to see if someone can custom design a box for me. Thx for the help

I have seen some custom boxes for that truck that looked great. They actually rebuilt the back seat so that in looks stock. Good luck.

I don't believe there are any pre-fab boxes. I was at Tweeter (a stereo store) in N. Houston and they just completed a custom job. They put 2 12" JL in a custom box and mounted the seat cushions on the top. It looked good and the seat was only a few inches taller. I did the same thing but in a club cab. I made a custom amp rack then covered it in matching carpet and foam. Where do you live?

You will more than likely get better sound if you build the box your self... If you do decide to go pre-fab, make sure you get the demensions of the box and the spects of the subs, And make sure they match. In doing this you will get the best performance out of them. The boxes can be build one of two ways: ported or not. If crisp sound is what you want, go "not ported". Loud dragging bass will occur with ports. :)
Also apperence is easy to obtain when building your self.. Carpet and glue your set........ depending on the look your going for?

correction: loud dragging bass will occur with improperly built ported enclosures. Bandpass boxes offer the dragging bass you speak off, unless you like nothing but bass (like the the teens in front of every teen hang out).

But in our situation, space is a big factor so sealed enclosures are the best way to go for most people. Plus they do offer some good tight bass.

Hey Knobbyman - I don't know if you read it already or not but I posted some results of my 8" sub install on the Custom Audio board "Installed 8"sub in Quad". I know you might want more bass but check it out, it might work for you. I have other ideas as well if you are interested (like a 10" or maybe two 8" subs behind the rear seat). Its all in what your willing to give up, space wise.
