What year and model dak do you have? I had no problem running 1/0 through a grommet in my 2001 drivers side panel. Take off the pannel located next to your e-brake and then lift back the carpeting. That's where mine is located!

A grommet is a small animal that controls where your wires go.

Actually its a rubber ring with a hole in it that protect the wire from getting cut by the metal hole. Without it you will have a nice little smoke show if it ever rubbed through the wire insulation and grounded out.

i run 8ga through the opening where the wire for the hood release goes... just pull the rubber boot back a little and jsut push it back in place when wire is through... then from there put the wires wherever u desire..!
