Subject: Got amp and thunderform... wire kits?

Message:
My thunderform was finally shipped today, and I bought a Fosgate Punch 360.2 to power them. Anyone have an opinion on what the wire kit of choice is to hook them up with?

Just about any wire kit will do alright, I have a Stinger kit and like it. Get at least 8 gauge power cable, anything smaller and you are screwing yourself. Ideally you would 4 gauge or larger so that when you upgrade you already have a main power supply. But 8 gauge will work for you at this time. And dont get stingy with the cash when it comes to your RCA cables. Purchase some quality ones, Fosgate makes some damn good ones so if there is a dealer near you go check them out.

The price of wires can vary by a lot, so shop a little. You can even pick up kits on ebay for cheap. Expect to pay $1+ per foot on the 8 gauge and RCAs, the 4 guage is 2.50+ per foot.

Wiring you truck is something you want to do once so don't be cheap and try and go for the 4 gauge power/ground wires and quality RCA cables.

You can pick up kits made by Rockford at Best Buy if you have one in your area.

Thanks guys. I do have a Best Buy and another Fosgate dealer just a few minutes from me. I think I'll pick up their kit.
