Subject: Just replaced Infinity Speakers

Message:
Just swapped out the front door speakers, which were crap and blown by the previous owner. I replaced them with some MB Quart Mids, and Kenwood tweeters. I took some pics of the process, see below. I had to make hardboard adapters for the mids, which were slightly smaller than the factory ones and didnt have the screw mounting tabs. I got the tweeters to fit also by slightly modifying the brackets that came with them.

If anyone is considering swapping out their factory speakers for decent ones,do it,its not hard. Once youve done one door, the other one takes half the time because you know what you need to do by then.

I also took out the factory HU because the CD player didnt work anyway, and I put my Pioneer player in there. Now it sounds good, but I still have to do the rear speakers, which I will replace with a pair of Infinity Kappas that I had from my old car. Next step after that will be to add 2 amps and I think Ill get the MTX sub enclosure to slip under the jump seats.

OK,heres some pics.
