 Subject: Burned CDs in factory CD player

I like the factory cd player in my 98 dak, but whenever I tried to play burned CDs it would skip around a bit, especially during the first few minutes of the track. I just thought it was an old CD player compatibility issue...
But recently I figured out why my CDs were skipping and how to fix it. It turned out that my CD burning program, Nero, was causing the skips. I had grown tired of putting up with the ever-more-bloated Nero program, so I switched to ONES (Optical New Edge Storage) to burn my CDs. And presto, not a single skip since then in my dak. Same burner, same spindle of CD-Rs, same original CDs/mp3s I'm burning.
Just thought I'd pass that on.
