Subject: Can You Bridge an alpine deck?

Hey guys, I'm getting some new speakers for my truck and i'll be powering the front speakers and sub with an amp and so instead of buying 2 amps I was wondering if anyone had bridged the 4 wires from your deck to the 2 rear speakers?

I doubt that would work. You most likely would not get any output from the deck. It would be better to just use the 2 rear outputs from the Alpine to your rear speakers. That way the fader would still operate and there would be less chance of internal damage to the Apline unit.

no you cant.....run your fronts with the deck, there usually a smaller speaker than the backs, run your backs and sub off your amp, does your deck have a seperate pre-amp for the sub? if it does use it, your sound quality will pay off if you run two sets of rca wires to the amp
