i haven't yet seen anyone who is dissapointed with their 8" subs they've put in their dakotas. i figured since they cost less, easier to provide proper box volume for andi'm not entering any competitions, this might be a good way to go. any input on your fav 8's would be helpful and approximate price would be good too. thanks ahead of time.

I've been really impressed with Elemental Designs' products...might wanna look into them. I'm currently running 2 of their EU-700's (6 1/2" subs). They put out a SH*TLOAD of bass for their size...though I'm prolly gonna get either a couple of their 8's or they've got a new "slim" 10" coming out soon that only requires a 3" mounting depth.

hey if u wanna get deeper bass and still save space (even tho this isnt an 8) pioneer has a 12 that only needs 3 1/4 of mounting depth and can take 300 watts RMS, havent heard ne review on them yet

Kicker Solo-Baric S8L7 in a Q-logic 8in truck box, with a Rockford 301S amp. Works fine for me, and required no cutting, drilling, or other assorted maiming.

thanks guys...........anyone know anything about fosgate p2's? they seem to get good reviews, small space requirements, and mounting depths. there are two brand new for sale on ebay for $150 shipped.

kicker L7 8's are ok, but they are so rare they cost MORE than 10's (if your buying them off ebay and whatnot) if you want something that sounds great and has good bass..go with JL. alittle pricy, but youll get what you wanted.
