blew the subwoofer out of my truck, it took up too much space anyways, so now i have this 2 channel 760 watt amp, so i figure the boat is a good place for it, can i run 4 6x9 speakers off a 2 channel amp, how will it affect them? i think the speakers are 240 max wattage

Yes you can. You will lose either your stereo balance or fade depending on how you hook them up just to warn you.

1)Wire the positive terminal for speaker one into the positive terminal for speaker two.
2)Do the same for negative.
3)Wire the postitive terminal for speaker two into the positive terminal for channel one in the amp.
4)Do the same for the negative.

5)Repeat for other two speakers and connect to channel two

You can either hook up the two left speakers together and the two right speakers together and you will lose the stereo effect from front to back...fade. Or you can hook up the front speakers together and rear speakers together and lose your stereo effect left to right...balance. The choice is yours really. Any other questions just ask.

Also...if this was a bit confusing, check out this website.

jim, not quite enough information. You do not state what the ohm specs of the speakers are, or what ohm level the amp is stable down to.

Without that info, 04Dak's advice might blow something up, as he's given you directions to hook the speakers up in parallel which will halve the speakers ohms rating, and could blow the speaker out at sufficient power levels.
