There's a panel under the steering column, remove three Torx screws, pull straight out, toward the driver's seat, disconnect the brake release linkage and set panel aside.

Remove two screws from speedo area 'ceiling'.

put keys in, turn ignition to 'run' don't start it, put parking brake on, put gear selector in '1' (nevermind if manual), tilt steering wheel all the way down.

remove fuse cover (by the drivers door, not under hood)

at fuse area, pull on dash toward rear of truck, there's a red clip on the light switch plug housing, you need to push the clip down, after the red clip is pushed down, unplug the harness from the lights switch. Pull on the dash some more to release the vent ducting, now on the other side of the steering wheel, pull on the dash toward the rear of the truck. It just pulls out and you have to work and wiggle it a bit to get it off the steering column.

4 screws hold the deck in place.

it still can be removed without fully pulling the gauge trim

What gauge trim? I have an 04, and I paid for instructions to remove the deck, those are the same instructions I posted.

Please explain further.

The gauge trim is the piece of your dash that goes around the gauges and heater controls. all i was saying is that you don't fully have to remove it to get the stereo out

Well, the 'gauge trim' does have to be fully separated from the truck it was attached to, only thing you don't have to do is disconnect the heater controls.

I never believe anyone that tells me to believe them. I've done it myself.

But you are still 100% correct, because I don't argue with fools; observers can't tell the difference.
