First thing I need to know is how is the Sirius tuner connected to your audio system?

it goes through the stock radio. you have to set the radio to a specified station just like (if your old enough to remember ) drive-in theaters.the power is set up through the power outlet(cig lighter).if you need more info let me know. i am not to smart with radios so you may have to ask real specific ?'s. assume i know nothing.

My XM satellite radio is crystal clear in all of the top half of Florida (Tallahassee - Orlando).

Just FYI, A silly mistake might have been overlooked. My radio comes with an external magnetic antennae that I mounted on the middle of the roof. At first, before reading the directions, i just threw it on the dash thinking that was good enough. Wrong, haha. Placing it on the roof turns the whole top of the truck into a huge satelite with clear reception.

I resell and install sat. radio, so mabey this can help. If it is FM modulated you need to find the clearest station possible and tune your sat radio to that station. If it is still bad, move the sat radio as close as possible to the antenna on the truck. The sat radio has a trasnmitter in it and it need to be picked up by that antenna thats on the truck. If it still does not work, the clearest way to go is to do a direct line from your sat. radio to your head unit. I dont know if the OEM head unit has a place where you can connect the sat. but I doubt it. Check out pioneerelectronics.com for head units that connect directly and have the best sound possible. Hope that helps.

BTW, The satellite antenna does not help the recievers reption to the radio. Since Sat. radio is all digital, you either have sound coming out or no sound at all. There is no in betwwen. It will make a fading noise for a breif second if it goes out, but there wont be any static because of the placement of the satellite antenna

some of the D/C Factory radios have an input for Sat. radios but i think it's only for the "hidden tuners" that integrate into and run off the factory radios. Another way but it looks like crap is to use a cassette adapter instead of the FM modulator.

I have sirius radio. At first it sounded like sh@t. All i did was move the antenna to the front of the cab in the corner of the windshield and front driver door. All sound cleared up an now it works fine. Total distance moved was about two feet.

i work at a stereo shop, try a part called a fmm100a, your antenna plugs into it, then into the radio. you hit a toggle switch to cut out the antenna and directly feed in the sat radio. it sounds close to true cd quality
