Subject: Sound in Regular cab?
IP: Logged

Message:
I recently replaced my stock speakers in my 93 regular cab dakota with Alpine Type S speakers I believe. Nice sounding speakers for sure, and have a fair share of pound. I was considering putting a subwoofer in, possibly two. I naturally like to go all out, and I've seen two subs in a dakota before right beind the seat. I could put two 10" subs behind the seat. Due to the lack of room, I would have to get shallow subs, because I dont want to pay the xtra labor for a custom box. The subs that I was looking were kickers. I do not know much about audio, but how how are kickers all around? I also am kinda worried that if I did that, would it just be to much bass and overpower th emusic itself? I like to enjoy the music I listen to and dont want to just hear the pounding. I have to expect a good pound with two subs and the speakers I have...I just don't want it so powerful it distorts my music, and rattle my truck. So basically I'm asking opinions from people who have done similar. What is the best setup really for a sub, and how is the sound in such a confined space? Thanks, and sorry for the kinda sketchy post.
