mount it right to the floor of the back of the cab, under the carpet. That's where mine is at.

Forseti, Ground all of your stereo equipment (stereo, amps, CD changer, etc) to the same location. The frame is good ground location as long as the battery is grounded to the frame also. On my 00 CC I grounded to the frame right below the drivers seat without problems, on my 03 QC I did the same and had nothing but problems,,, on the 03 there wasn't a battery to frame ground, just a bunch of chitty battery to body panel grounds and an engine ground. I solved the problem by installing a peice of 2/0 welding cable between the battery and truck frame. If in doubt chase down where your battery grounds go to. I have never had problems with grounding directly to the battery, if everything is grounded directly to the battery. What ever you do, don't mount it to the body sheet metal or seat belt bolt, this can cause a ground loop which can lead to a serious case of whining,,, that comes from your stereo and not the wife/girl friend ;-)

DontBuyPete, WOW, your annoying and have your stereo hacked together like a 11th grader installed it..... I bet all of those cheap azz thin body panel ground cables make a real good ground path for your 100W amp.

I would ground your stereo to the truck frame. That's where I have mine located with zero guage ground and power wires with a circuit breaker under the hood. I'm runnin lots of watts with three sony amps and four sony 10" subs in a custom enclosure in the ext. cab, a pair of sony 6 by 9's, 6 1/2's, and tweeters. I removed the entire back seat so I had enough room to work with.
