Subject: $500 to spend on QC door speakers
IP: Logged

Message:
I know nothing......I have (had) the factory infinity system set up in my truck and have replaced both the front and back speakers after they had blown with inexpensive crap. Anyway, I do have a custom box with a 10" sub behind the drivers side back seat and an amp under the drivers seat. Again, I can't remeber what the make of the sub and amp are. I want to keep the facory head unit, amp and sub and replace only the door speakers and tweeters. Any suggestions on a nice set up for under $500 for front and rear door speakers.

I have both Alpines, and Pioneers. The Pioneer 4 ways are not only much more cost efficient, but they even sound a little better. I highly reccomend them. Just go check them out at Best Buy or Circuit City and listen, then buy them online.

do infinity kappas or focals if you can invest the money in a four channel amp. if you can't do an amp just get some cheap alpine or infinity reference speakers. the factory infinity system is not the same as real infinity gear by the way. also the factory system uses a small amp in the passenger side kick panel to run everything, and after market speakers will sound like crap off it, so you really need to replace the deck and wire around the factory amp. i work as a car audio sales guy so i deal with this stuff all the time
