 Subject: Help with wireing 97 Dakota

Alright here's the deal, I bought the truck with someone who did a crappy job on the stereo. there is a Sony 2 channel amp powering 2 aftermarket front speakers, rear speakers are not hooked up at all, clarion face works but has no memory, once you turn it off everything is lost. My question is which wire is not connected. I unhooked everything today and redid it, yellow to yellow, red to red, orange to orange, black to black, remote to sony amp. Now nothing turns on unless i hold the yellows with the red's but still no memory? Thanks for the help

sounds like right there ur yellow or red depending on how its wired are not getting the switchable power like they should. try and trace the wires the best you can and see where they go. if u can't trace them, then i'd run 2 separate wires one from a constant power source from the fuse panel and one to a switchable source and see what happens.
