I am thinking about getting an 8-inch Bazooka tube for behind the drivers seat in my 02 RC. Is leg room effected that much? and is it worth buying since I already have the factory infinity system? also is the 10inch too big?

Thanks

Is 10" too big? My wife doesnt think so;).hahahah..ok ok, sorry
To answer the question "Do I need it?" Well, I say yes..the infinity system is pretty good from what Ive heard, but a little low end really makes a system come together...As far as 10" being too big, Ill guess (dont have an RC) and say yes...from what Ive read on here, 8" tube is your best bet withough sacraficing too much leg room

I recently put one in my RC. depending on how you usually have your seat it may make a difference. I never kept mine all the way back so it did not affect my seating position hardly at all. I did cut out a piece of the material thats against the back wall of the cab to make a better fit there is like a lump in the carpet or liner whatever you want to call it but there is nothing behind it so i cut out a section perhaps 6" X 6" and now the sub really nestles right in there. My seat holds it in place so well i did not even bother with the hold down straps. I have the amplified one and love the sound. Also love that i got it for $100 new on Ebay

I have a 98' RC and I built my own speaker box,... it holds a 10'in. Rockford Fosgate. The subwoofer hits really hard and sounds great. My leg room is enough for me and I'm 6ft tall, its also a 5-speed with extra need for the leg room. Not dissing the Bazooka Tubes but they just don't sound as good as a Rockford Fosgate, and they won't last as long. Thats just my experience. Just puttin the word out for the RC Subwoofer Problem. Peace Out...

Have you considered two 6 1/2" bazookas instead of the one 8. They should fit behind the set without having to sacrifice leg room. Or if you want more thump you can get some 5" focal drivers and make your own tube from pvc. reply for details.

Dan: Some Bazooka Tubes need amps. There is a small selection at my Circut City. The onces there are amplified already, but you will still need an intall, unless you know someone that know how to hook it all up. I hope you know that if you want to add something like this your going to need an after market deck for the A/V outs(I think thats what they're called) they are just a better way to hook up your subs or tubes. I would actually suggest a 12' sub in a custom made box,.. i know what your thinkin,.. custom sounds expensive,... nope wood glue screws a saturday and some good measureing and you've got it covered. I'm sure you'll figured more out, but if you got anymore Q's then just most another message, I'll get back to ya.

dakattack: What year is your truck? I don't know if it matters but i just wanna know. There is a little lip thing on the back wall that curves out about an inch and then slops into the back window from "bottom to top" My box doesn't go higher than this lip, and the box is 2 inches thick at this level. At the floor level it is 8 inches thick, if you think about it,... these dementions are all you need. THe length dementions are as big as you want them to be,... as long as you can put your center concol storage thing back to seat a third person. You might not care about this,..then you can just make the box huge.. and it will sound great. I put a port on the end of the box that is closer to the center of the cab and It pushes more air than most ported boxes i've seen up at "Car Club"(a city club for systems). If you have any other Q's just e-mail me,.. I'll try and take some pix, but I need to paint it first(black) lowerypaul_2@hotmail.com

E-mail me if you got any Q's man!!!

Bazooka Tubes imo are crap...we hooked up the one thats in a NOS tube in my truck cause my friend was considering buying it but after we installed the test model at the stereo shop we laughed are asses off...it sounded like garbage and this kid in town has to 10" Bazooka Tubes in his mustanga nd they sound like crap to...atleast they do to me so before you go out and buy them listen to them first cause i'm guessing you will be disapointed...also you can get good pioneer subs for the same price as the Bazooka Tubes and they sound 30 times better.

also i'm not flamming anyone here the things i said were imo.
