Just wondering if anybody has any opinions of an audiobahn 1251SE? Or how about audiobahn subs in general. Tight budget to work with here so i thought these looked reasonable. let me know please. thanks

In my opinion,
JL, Audiobahn, and Alpine are all over rated.
If any decent sub is used, it can sound much better than poorly installed bass. If you build a nice box with thick Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF) and build the box with correct dimensions, as well as silence any rattles in the car, your subs should be okay.
If you shop around on Yahoo! Shopping, you can find good deals on subs from reputable dealers. You can save more than 50% most the time.

Say that if I do decide on the audiobahn 1251SE 12's is an mtx 311D amp going to be enough to push them? Do I need Something bigger? I can't really find any specs on this amp but it was working on two 10's before which seemed to work pretty well just wondering if it will be enough for two 12's. Thanks

I have a '00 Dakota QC, I installed a Fosgate DVC 8" with a Sony 500watt mono amp. Works really well, cant hear me coming from down the street, but didnt want that anyway.
I do have a DVC 12" audiobahn in my "other" car with an audiobahn 8002t amp, now this one you can hear me coming...when/if a blow my fosgate, an audiobahn will be its replacement.

Alec, you say that JL, Audiobahn, and Alpine are all over rated, but you dont offer a solution. Well, IN MY OPINION, all those amps (depending on model) are reliable, quality amps. So, what would you suggest as a good, quality amp for the money?

jl and alpine are great products and have been around. I don't care for audiobahn's sh!t. I have had many systems and many have won spl shootouts and 2 where jl and alpine and the other was kicker...all 3 are good stuff.

everyone has there own opinion you will prolly go through some bad products before you find the 1 thats good for you
