heh. my third new topic today....
I'm getting ready to wire up an amp, and I don't have the wiring diagram for it. I know most of what I'm doing , but I wasn't sure of what wire would be the best one for the remote signal..the one that kicks the amp on and off when the stereo is turned on and off.... should I just use the 12v + for the radio? I have a facotry amp for the infinty system, but the new amp is going for a 12" sub... I've looked at the factory wiring schematic, and that seems to be my best choice with the factory head unit.

Hey..
u don't need 4 gauge for the remote wire. Just plain speaker wire.. 16, or 18 gauge I think it is...

Jay is right about not needing a large wire. The remote current is very miniscule. Just about any wire will work, I would even say that 18 would be overkill. Use whatcha got.

no, not the guage of wire! I guess I shoulda been more specific... I need to know WHICH wire Ishould hook into... its the 12v+ coming off the radio, going to the factory amp, right?

Yeah, that should be the one. You can check it if you want. When you turn the radio on, there should be power, and the power should not be there if you turn the radio off.
