iwas at fry's the other day and saw the 04' kicker L7's guess the price. $350 for a 12"!!!!! is the sub worth it or is kicker just insane???

ok. i like em alot. i have to 10" L5s in my dak. they are really nice for sq and spl in a sealed box. how ever, in a ported box, they loose alot of sq.
if you listen to a mix of all kinda music like i do, they sound amazing in a sealed box.
mine are for sell actually. 300$ for the 2 subs and a box for a regular cab 87-96 body style. or 250$ for both subs without the box.
they are 450 rms watts each, and are 4 ohm dvc, the can be wired into 1 ohm. (which i currently have them, runnin of a hifonics bx1000d amp [wired at 1000rms x 1 at 1ohm])

I like the L7 10's. I did a blow through my cab with 2 of them. But now i have 4 kicer comp cvr 10's that are cheaper and beat harder than the solo baric 10's

ive heard... but right now im looking at the diamond audio cm3s 12s. ive heard one hooked up to 500 rms watts in a 2 cu ft ported box..
...amazing...
they are right up there with the jl 12w6s (i heard one in the same set up too)
so i concluded... 1 CM3 12 in a ported box behind my seat. (exact same size as the kicker box).. gonna rattle my doors off.
btw. the kickers are still for sell....

Ebay kicker is worth it. I'm running two L710's, the old style, with the kicker sx1250.1 amp. I've had it for over a year with no problems.All from ebay. I'm about to sell the 10's to a friend and ebay myself a new l715.

i had the L7 10 in my jeep and loved it. i also had a kicker comp 12 before and i think it hit harder too. but it wasn't as clear of a thump it seemed like.
btw~ i used the same amp for the L7 and the comp.

if you think that a comp 12 hit harder you either had the wrong size box or you were wayyyyy underpowering them i had 2 l5 8" yes 8's doing 142 at the dash in my focus

I have one 8" L7 with a ported box in my regular cab dakota and I love it. But you have to use a ported box. Any other type doesn't cut it.

what do you have? regular cab, ext. cab
also what kind of subs do you have?
ive been going to the same stereo store since i was 15. we took some measurements to achieve the appropriate air capacity for the solo-baric. i had to take center console out in order to put in the box ( it stretches across the entire cab) but man everyone that hears it cant believe its only one 8" speaker.

2 solo L5 10s in a reg cab...
i dunno wat i wanna do with them. they are currently in a sealed box. but im lookin for more outta them. im kinda thinkin of gettin rid of em and running the Diamond Audio CM3 12s. but i aint sure. so either way, im gonna have to prolly do a blow through with a bigger box.

yeah we hooked up two 8" solo's in separate sealed box and i didnt like it at all. the ported box blows the two away. i wish i could have fitted a 10" but it would have taken up way too much room. oh well i still like what i have.
