Subject: aftermarket wiring problems

i have a problem with the door speakers on my 2000 rt. the stock radio will play fine but with the aftermarket radio installed the door speakers wont work but the subs still work.
the wiring harness is checked and the stereo gets th epower to turn on there is power going to the speakers also. this si the second radio i used so that is out of the question. whut could be some of the problems. thanks guys

DO you have the Infinity stock system?
IF so did you tie in the amp turn on wire from your after market HU? Infinity stock system has an amp under the Pass. side kick panel sounds like amp isnt coming on..

My wiring diagram shows the Dark Green/Red is the 12volt amp turn on wire its pin 13 on the diagram coming off the stock head unit..

I have an 2002 Club Cab I would think the wiring is the same in a 2000 not sure tho?

Yep..gotta connect the amp turn-on lead from the factory amp..otherwise you wont get any sound outta the speakers. Alot of people do this when they first get into upgrading the stereo.
