Hi Ihave 2002 CC with the Infinity system in it.
My problem is the Pass. side spk blew or popped so is sounds bad.
Not knowing ANYTHING I went to Crutchfield web site bought 4 Pioneer TS-G1640R 6-1/2"/6-3/4" 2-way speakers.

I installed one pair in the doors and decided to listen before ripping out the pair in the rear and installing the other pair.
Bottom line im was not impressed now i know I didnt drop a lot of money on these spks $50 a pair so is that why they are not so good or is cause Im using my stock system?.

I want a good sound and not so sure i want to relplace my headend I have no problem spending more money for new spks..with in reason like $100 $150 a pair but I want to have a chance at getting it right this time

Any help or Ideas would be great thanks

Keith

try the polk audio db675' or db6750's. crutchfield has them on sale now.buy one pair get the second pair 1/2 price. that's what's good about crutchfield. you should be able to return the pioneer's with no probs.

Thanks for the info daddio.

Only thing is i went to crutchfield and used that vehicle selector they have to match speakers that will fit in your truck and it tells me the db675's wont fit 2002 Dakota Club Cab. However I have read other messages on this fourm and it looks like people are installing them
have you used them? and did you need to buy a universal speaker bracket to mount them

Thanks Again

the db675's will fit in the front. i left the factory plastic rings in place and drilled through them into the door and used something like 1-1/2" sheet metal screws to go through the speaker mounting flange and the factory plastic crap. for a 6-1/2" you would need some plastic adapter rings and the factory plastic crap.

now in a CC i don't know what would go back there as mine is a QC and i have 6-3/4" both front & rear doors.
