Subject: WHAT? all bass?

Message:
I have just recently installed a Sony Xplod mp3/cd player that i had in my old red '99 dak into my new dk green '99 dak. I have mtx thunderforms w/ 2 10' subs in them.

The radio works great and the subs work great too, but when i go to play a cd/mp3 all i get is bass, no music from the normal speakers.

I bought a quick connect harness from circuit city that basically plugged right into the stock wires from the truck then into the harness comming off the sony head unit. I took the ground from the sony and connected it straight to the stock ground wire.

I connected the remote wire for the amp to the blue w/ white stripe wire from the sony and then back into the harness.

Did i do this right? If not what coould i do? I'm baffeled any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Assuming that everything works when you just listen to the radio, I would guess that you hooked the power antenna wire into the remote turn-on lead. Check the schematics that came with the receiver to verify this. In many receivers, the power antenna wire is only hot when the radio is on.

Hope this helps
