 Subject: balance andRight side speakers dont work

I have a 2001 Dodge dakota quad cab I bought used...It has a factory stereo in it whicih I assume is original it also has the infinity system...since I bought it only the driver side speakers (front,back, and tweeter) work...I tried to see if it was the balance but when I rotated the balance all the way to the passenger side speakers th driver side speakers did not fade out and still no sound came from passenger side speakers...any ideas?

It is most likely a bad head unit. With what nice radios cost these days, I would just hit your local car stereo place and get a new radio. Once they put it in, I bet all your speakers will work.
Spend a couple of hungred on a nice Alpine radio and I am sure you'll be please. I myself prefer Eclipse but availability on those units are few and far between but they are definately worht the money. FYI...Sound Advice carries Eclipse.
