Subject: Sub and amp box 03 CC SXT
IP: Logged

Message:
I had no luck finding anything that would allow me to use the
rear seats and use the subs I wanted. I used 3/4" plywood
because it's what I had. I may build another down the road. The
seat looks high, but I put the lid on with the seats and my friend
sat in the back and only had to lower his head slightly. He is 5'
10" about 170 wet. This box will be covered with a lid and the
seats mounted directly to the lid. There will also be vent holes
for the speakers and amp in the front just below the seat. 3 12v
80mm fans mounted in the rear of the box will draw air from the
rear and blow it out the front to cool the amp. There will even be
room for a cap and with this design (I am far from done) You will
see NO WIRES. Not even speaker wires. The subs that will be
installed in here a 2 10" Kicker Solobaric L7's. The amp in the
middle compartment will be a late 90's Rockford Punch 800a2
bridged to 2ohm. It should pound pretty good. The front and
rear stage will be handled by deck power. It's an Alpine 9833 V-
Drive 26w RMS x 4. The front and rear speakers will be Alpine
component's SPR 176A 6.5" with x-overs. Any questions please
email me.
