That's f'd up... I can see heavier fines during the nighttime due to it affecting people's sleep, but what damage is it doing any other time?!

It's basically a violation of free speech (in a different sense)... you're allowed to talk however you want in public for the most part. If people around you don't like the subject, that's tough. They can ignore it. Same kinda goes for loud music and exhaust...they should just ignore it.

Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. The Pursuit of Happiness does not include people incessantly driving past my house with exhaust and stereos so loud I can't hear my TV or talk to the person sitting next to me. Then again -- I moved out to the country .... so have at it boys ... annoy everyone else as much as you want. :o)

Yeah, it's a shame that laws are being passed about loud stereo's and exhaust's. But it's f'ed up there are people out there annoying the hell out of "Joe Public". If there weren't inconciderate people out there blasting thier stereo's all hours of the day, there wouldn't be any need for these laws.

I have a loud stereo, but also have respect for others. I don't crank it unless I am out in the middle of no where. Yeah, I have a loud stereo, and I am all for these laws.

It pizzes me off when I am at home and some Ahole is blasting their stereo at the carwash across the street. I get home after a hard days work only to hear "BOOM BOOM BOOM", watching the TV "BOOM BOOM BOOM" eating dinner "BOOM BOOM BOOM" catching a nap "BOOM BOOM BOOM".

Umm,,, it's kind of hard to ignore something thats blasting it's way through my house.

The house next door was rented to a bunch of collage guys. Of course they were cranking the stereo all hours of the day. I asked politely several times if they could turn the stereo down, and they did, only to have it cranked the next day. My neighbors and I were getting pizzed about the loud music, basket ball and playing pool at 1am and so I devised "PLAN A". Fill up a 5 gallon bucket with fish guts and water and let it ferment for a couple of weeks in the August heat. Of course this bucket was placed behind my fence right by thier front door. After a week my friend 4 houses down could catch wind of the odorferous concoction. Everytime they opened the front door the vile smell of decaying fish spooge wafted into thier house. One of the college guys asked me "is something dead was in your back yard?". I replied that " That rotting fish stench doesn't bother me as much as your loud stereo, basketball and pool all hours of the day. Needless to say they got the message, we didn't have a problem with them disturbing the neighborhood anymore.

Oh, you'll love this one. My buddy (big SOB) and I were stopped in traffic at an accident and this little Ahole was cranking his stereo so F'ing loud everything in his truck was ratteling and shaking. After a minute or two he was seeing red and blew his stack. He walked over to the car and snatched up this kid by his ear lobe and screamed as loud as he could "WHAT"S YOUR PROBLEM, ARE YOU F"IN DEAF". May cheers insued from all the other vehicles around us and the cops proceeded to write him up a nice fat ticket.

Yeah crank away, just hope my friend isn't in the car behind you! LOL
