you can use any HU that has a remote with factory wheel controls....several companies make interface you need. i like the one made by PAC myself.

watch out for the Sony Hu....most of them will not accept steering wheel controls..

i had this question too. i love having the steering wheel controls, and thats the only thing thats holding me back from upgrading to a new deck. so how exactly does this work? any new headunit that has a remote can be hooked up to the steering wheel controls? is it hard? please fill me in and let me know. any help would be great. thanks so much.

You need an adapter box that'll take the inputs from the steering wheel controls and adapt it to commands that the aftermarket stereo can use.

i am an installer and i have to say these are a pain in the ass to get right. i would strongly advise that you let someone that is certified to do this. you have to cut and splice wires and it is not an easy job. I live in toronto canada so if there is any one in the area then email me.
