I have a 1999 dokota extended cab and it has the factory tape player radio in it and i was wounder what a good new deck to get for it would be under $200 and how hard it would be to put it in. I was looking at a Pioneer XM Satellite Radio-Ready CD Deck with MOSFET50 Amp/CD Changer Control Model: DEH-P2600 and i was woundering if it's any good or not aor if there is a better one for the money, also what else am i going to need for the install.

Go to your local stereo shop and let them help you. For under 200 dollars you should be able to get a better HU than the pioneer. I would look into the lower class lines of alpine and eclipse. Theyre both excellent HU's and i think you would be happier with those that apioneer. As far as what else you will need is nothing unless you want to make life easier. If so then get a wiring harness. The wiring harness will plug into your existing dodge harnss and the harness out of your deck (HU) then you just color coordinate and you should be set. If you havnt done this before it might be a good idea to check out the12volt.com read through the info they have on there and ask questions if you need to. A lot of people with a lot of car audio knowledge. GL
