MDF is medium density fiberboard. It is similar to particle board. You can pick it up at any home depot for 18 bucks a sheet. You will also need some caulk to help seal where the piece meet.

just some advice, make sure that you drill a pilot hole for the screws, MDF cracks like particle board if you don't
