Does anyone have any ideas of where to mount the amp in a regular cab or know an easy way to get the seat up? I'd like to put it under the seat but it won't fit unless I could lift the seat up..also, any tips on how to install the rear speakers? I cant figure out how to get the seat belt off to take off the door panel

what year dakota do u have? i havea 94 reg. cab dakota and i installed a rf 8" sub, box, and amp behind my seat- check out pics at:

i installed my amp vertically onto the back panel behind the seat. as for installing an amp underneaeth the seat, i cant help u there. at least on my dakota, to take off the seat belt, you need to get the right socket- its like a 8, 10 or 12 sided star-shape, and get a ratchet and undo the bolt-whatever u call it, that attaches at the top, above your rear speakers.

i have a quad cab but i mounted my amp under my seat. i didn't need to move the seat up. but after i took the truck in to have some major interior work done i looked under the seat bolts and the shop had put some really large nuts between the seat bracket and the floor board. i didn't even notice the .5 inch that it moved the seat up but it did help with the loss of mobility in the seat. if you want pics i have some. or you can check out my page at my username is same as here.
