Hi, Have a 98 Dakota Reg Cab. and im wonder what kind of subs will fit behind the seats. Obvisouly they are 10's because the area is limited, but does anyone have subs in their reg cab, and if so, what kind, and how do they sound? Thanks.

hey

i have a 94 reg. cab dakota, and i have a rockford fosgate 8" he2 sub in a q-logic 8" truck box powered by a rf201s amplifier. most ppl i think have 10s, but it is definitely a tight fit; as for me, i didnt have to scoot up my seat at all for the 8" sub, and it ended up sounding, at least in my opinion, just as good as a normal 10 incher. perhaps some later regular cab models have more room behind the seat? im not sure, but for me, i had only about 8" to work with, and i reconstructed a 10" truck box with cardboard and it didnt really fit, so i decided to opt for the smaller 8" sub and box. i guess its up to you what size to get. if im not mistaken some ppl even have 12s behind their reg cab seat. anyways, my sub and amp sound very good for their size and they pack alot of power. id recommend them.

i have a 98 reg cab too and i have a kicker solo baric L7 10 behind the pass seat. it fits great! the seat is almost all the way back although i had to relocate the jack behind my seat (no biggie) and its powered by an mtx 6500D amp that is seeing one ohm from the dual 2 ohm voice coils. it sounds great for a 10. the solo barics sound as good as some 12s and better than most 10s. it plays deep and is tight and punchy.

I have a 99' single cab. I have a depth charge 10 behind the passengers seat run by a memphis power reference 300w amp. It sounds great, hits very hard for a 10.
