 Subject: Clarion Head problem!

I installed a Clarion Head unit DXZ835MP and when I put pressure in the upper right corner of the unit it shuts down. To restart it I just have to turn it back on and it is fine. Any Ideas or sugetions? Thanks,

I had the same problem when I first installed my DXZ835MP. When you remove/reinstall the faceplate make sure you are pushing left hand side in firmly untill it clicks. If you don't push it in far enough, it will still make a connection and power up but every time you push a button on the right had side it will power off.

So far I am really impressed with the head unit. I have the RCAs connected to a US Acoustics 4X65W amp for the front (Infinity Kappa 6.5 components) and back (Coustic 5.24 components) and a US Acoustics 2X150W bridged to a Infinity Kappa Perfect 10.1 sub. The sub box is sitting on the floor for now. I took the back seat out (2001 QC) and after bending the jack brackets out of the way, it will fit behing the passenger side seat if you trim the carpet/padding. I plan on finishing the installation next week.
