Hey guys, I've got an `03 Dakota quad cab with the premium sound system. It really lacks bass and someone on this site told me about the MTX Thunderforms. This is great and exactly what I'm looking for, but I'm wondering if this is for sure the way to go.
I don't want to take up any seating area, so is the MTX Thunderform pretty much my only choice? Does anyone else have any suggestions for an even better sounding dak?
Also, these come loaded and unloaded, forgive my ignorance, but what's the difference?

The TF's come in 3 different flavors,
unloaded, no subs
loaded, with subs
loaded and amped, subs and an internal amp
If your just looking for some bass to enhance the stock system the loaded and amped version would be OK. If you looking to put together a realy nice system then I would go with the unloaded version and add a good amp and subs, or maybe the loaded version, but you know they don't put their best subs in the loaded TF.

Agree with everything DSW said.
I went the custom but still easy/simple route of building a small box that sits between the front and rear seats over the tranny hump. You really don't lose much room this way.

Soon we will be putting a system in my friend Jan's 01 QC with one 8" behind the rear seats. If your looking to add some low end to the stock system one 8" (done right) is plenty.

I had the infinity system:
REPLACE that crap! Premere? Ha, just take a look at the speakers and frown. Infinity? Yeah toss them there: I repalced EVERthing, and I am WAY happier.
