What amp would you get to run 2 kicker solobaric L5 12's? My buddy is thinking about buying a pair on ebay and im posting for him. they are DVC at 4ohms (the 2 subs would wind up as a 1ohm load to the amp right?) each. the rms is 600watts (300 each coil). i told him he should look at jlb 1200.1, any other suggestions?gracias

I don't know why everyone things biggest Watts on an amp are the most important. Look for an amp with mid to high RMS, I can't stress enough you want higher RMS then peak wattage. And you want it to be equal to or higher than the speakers rated wattage. I hope that helps with your selection. To help with brands i've sold and installed and prefer Rockford Fosgate, JL Audio, Autotek, Arc Audio, and Soundstream. I've heard good things about Crossfire amps. But if it was my money Rockford and they come with built in crossover's and remote bass controls.

Look at you big baller, all that loot I wish I could ask myself that question. 1001bd is all you need though. Get it bridge it and it will slam the subs till they can't slam no more.

for coneting them..do series parallel conection..put the voice coils in series and conect the subs to th amp in parllel and instead of a 1 ohm load it will be 4ohm ...by putting the subs couls in series they become 8ohm subs..and a 4ohm stable and 2ohm stable amps are very easy to find and alot cheaper .any other question just ask..gl

I just got my 1000d today and.... WOW! Small and powerfull! defently would be my recomendation!
