Im doing my whole system, boston acoustics components run by a 320W amp, infinity sub run by a 600W amp, and an alpine head unit. People told me not to spend money on replacing the 5.25" speakers because they wont make a difference, and just not hooking them up and some say just hook them up and run them off the head unit. This head unit is 27 watts RMS/60 watts peak to each channel, am i just going to blow the little stock 5.25's?? Should i even bother hooking them up because i doubt they would make much of a difference anyway. I can tune each set of speakers with my head unit...so i could set them up to run only the hi's, but still.
What do you think??

if u want good sound replace them with a good speaker. I dont know why people say u cant hear them. Even with bass in the car, they are still able to be heard, and will make a lot of difference. With out them u will get uneven sound. I would suggest replacing them.
