hello
i have a kdc ps709. qustion:when i install my amp and connect the rca cabling to the hu, will it automatically send signals out the rcajacks or do i have to activate them some on in a menu or something? also, can some one tell me what the p comp wire and the att wire is? and i am asuming one of those is for the remote wire on the amp right? also, if i go buy a switch as like radio shack or something, do you have to sodder to connect it, cause i got a newborn and need to have the switch incase the baby is in the truck. thanks

Yes, you can put a rocker switch in, but you should run the remote turn-on through a relay, not directly on the switch. I did this with all 3 amps I had so that I could turn on/off speaker sets depending on who was in the car and what I was listening to.

You don't have to solder the connections, you can use spade/slot connectors and crimp them on.

The amp turn on is 300mA and I'm not sure what the attenna wire current is. When you hook up the either of the wires make sure that it is fused. I've seen alot of people with a nice burn marks running all the way from their amps to their head units becuase the remote grounded out. Its not enough current to blow anything up, but it's just enough to melt the coating of the wire and burn the carpet.
