i visit pawn shops.... and one of my buddies installed a pyramid amp and subs........i dont recomend wasting your money. they are crap...
a system that uses a custom built ported box and 1 quality sub driven by a 500 watt good quality amp will sound way better than a lot of cheap speakers.
my first setup was in a 96 blazer i used a 12" infinity kappa perfect sub with a soundstream ref. 500 amp ..... cost under a grand and made the steering wheel shake....and with quality sound
good luck

Look around at places like circut city for last
years models. They sell them for cheap. I got
2 bazooka el1204's for $25 (150)apeace, And
a profile amp for 27(160) dollers. Not the best
but better than pyramid.

Dude, look around....ebay, pawn shops, etc. I got a 10inch bazooka sub new in box with a Q-logic truck box for under 60 bucks off Ebay. Shipping included. Pair that with a decent amp running mono (US Acoustics is a good starter amp for the money) and you're near your budget. If you are looking to buy stuff new, I hate to tell you, but your 150 wont buy much and you'll spend more in the long run because you bought cheap stuff to begin with.

I just might have what you are looking for. I pulled the system out of my wrecked car 2 years ago and it's been sitting in the closet ever since. Thinking about selling it on Ebay, but saw your post.

Rockford Punch 150 amp 300W bridged $100 (loud tight bass), Soundstream MC120 4x30W amp $125 (probably one of the cleanest amps ever built for mids and highs), Pioneer 9 band EQ/crossover front rear and sub RCA outputs $40 (will throw in 3 pr RCAs), 1 pr Sony 6 1/2" component speakers $25 (1 wire terminal broken but repaired and functional sound great).

I also have some other stuff, 2-Rockford Series 1 12" subs $50 (almost new only used 1 year will throw in some 12 ga wire and grilles), 2 pair Quadrasub 6 1/2" component speakers without tweeters $30 (almost new).

I had most of this equipment in my old car, it was clean and LOUD, not cheap equipment. Everything works and it will be a great deal for you. Heck, you can have a clean sounding system with my stuff for about $300 or throw away $150 on cheap equipment. All you will need to add is a deck, sub box and some wire.

I can probably get you a decent stereo for $150 + shipping.

Let me know if you are still interested. I have feedback on Ebay.
