What years HU will fit the 97? I'm looking to replace my tape deck (don't want an aftermarket HU as my other car has been broken into twice since I've lived here and do not want to risk it again until I move next year).

Any "non-flush" head unit that looks like this one: http://www.aatechnologies.com/cmyradios/chrysler/dual2.gif
Note the position of the two mounting "ears". This style is the only one that'll fit your truck, fortunately it's the most common.
You can find this style head unit up to some 2002 model year.
