Need some help mounting my amp...
got a kenwood Excelon KAC-X401M

anyone have it, Where in the hell can i put this? wont fit under the seat. swaped my rear seats (put the double on the left - took out the single seat). built a box where the single seat is but the amp wont fit under the seat...

anyone mounted it on the rear floorboard? how would you make that look good?

any thoughts would be great!

I have three amps in my truck and if you have an extended cab you can do what I did. There is a ton of room in between the rear side panel metal(where the rear speakers are) and the outer skin. You will have to cut a slot/hole to mount the amp inside. Bypass any internal amp fuses and mount a fuseblock elsewhere.

i will check that out. i went to mount the amp temporarily on the floor board, and the damn thing was too big to fit there!!!

i had to st it at about a 30degree angle (mount 1 side to tool tray and bottom to floor)...

frickin huge.

I have a 2000 durango with buckets up front. I'm in the process of mounting my Blaupunkt PA4100 4x100 rms amp in the center console and I will retain the use of the space inside. Because it's a class T, it won't generate as much heat and after removing the plastic case the amp is only 9"x7.5"x1.8".
