 Subject: amp cutting out

Got a question my amp seems to be cutting in and out here lately. I have checked connections and all are good.I have the remoet wire wired through a switch so I can turn it on and off.Now I have checked it when it cuts out and the power light is still on on the amp so my switch is working properly. Any suggestions on what else to check.The amp is a JL audio 250/1 and is under the seat and the amp is not getting hot at all I am only pushing an 8.
