Well I've had my Thundeform for about a year now and have decided it just does not give me the bass output I'm after. I'm using two IDQ10's and 400w US AMP.

Just the other day I installed a JL Power Wedge(two ten W0's) in my brothers car and he had twice the bass output using a Kenwood 200w amp.

Do any of you Thunderform owners have any subwoofer(that fit of course)recomendations.

Don't get me wrong my currnt setup does sound good, it just that it needs more bass.

U'll probably need a new box. I had the Thunderform in my 99 R/T CC but it didnt put off anough bass that i wanted. it doesnt leave enough room from behind the magnet of the sub to the back of the box and also doesnt have enough cu. inches......U can buy them from a guy named Jason..he makes them. They are perfect for giving off that "deep bass".

I just built one myself because i didnt have enough money. But if u want to keep the Thunderform, try getting the 2 MTX 6000 10's and anywhere betweeen a 600-800 watt amp. Anything higher than an 800 watt amp will blow those subs. Hope this helped,

-Matt

Dakman, try running a better amp to power your IDQ's in your T-form. I have a MTX RT2400X 600W amp powering my IDQ 10's in my T-form, and it puts out plenty of bas IMO. I always have people amazed that they are only 10" subs. For reference, two of my ex-roommates have the t-form with the MTX subs and smaller amp and there boxes don't sound near as good as mine. The IDQ subs will hanlde a lot of power, so don't be afraid to use a larger amp on them. Not sure how easy it might be, but try swapping amps with your buddy to see if it makes a difference. Plus, the JL subs are some of the best you can buy, and have a larger magnet so they shoudl sound better, but the IDQ's even though they are a little smaller shoudl pump out some awsome sound.

Hi, Jason here. I am the one who sells the boxes. If you let me know you saw it here I will sell them for $140.00 plus shipping. The web site is still under construction but you can email me off that page.

Hey Jason,

I'm looking at your boxes, and I'm rather interested, Can you give more details on the boxes?

How much air space do they have? how deep on the inside, exactly? what speakers do you recomend, and what amp? What amp fits in the box? I've got other questions, but that'll do for now.

I have had 2 AUDIOBAHN AWP310T, which are rated at 1000 watts rms each, installed in my 2000 dakota. They sound great in the MTX-Thunderform. The subs only require a 4.5" mouting depth so they fit perfect. The subs are pretty cheap on ebay. There is also a great balance between SQ and SPL. I only hear distortion when I am running them over 800 watts. Great subs in a great enclosure.
