 Subject: 2 10" Subs in Reg Cab.... Amp?

Hey
Well I am about to buy a sub box for a regular cab pickup (my 93 dakota). Well, I'm just wondering if to use subs in a car, is an Amp absolutely needed? I'm not gonna have top notch subs in it, just cheap ones that add some bass. So what are my options here?

Yes, absolutely. Head units don't put out nearly enough power.

two things:
1) make sure the amp has an RMS power rating at or slightly above the RMS power rating of the subwoofers, and
2) make sure the amplifier offers a low-pass filter for subwoofer use.
