Well I just got through installing my HE 8" DVC Fosgate speaker. I never knew an eight inch speaker could sound so good. I now have one 10 inch MTX thunder 4000 and the eight behind the rear seats. Yes I did lose the functionality of the rear seats but who really folds those things up and down. If anyone has specific questions please let me know. The box was 4" wide at the top and 7" wide at the bottom and 22 inches long with the speaker countersunk. Fits great! you do have to remove the vent from the back cab wall and tape a piece of plastic or something over the hole. If you have any questions please feel free to email or post here. See ya!

Right on bro. Glad it sounds good. More quads getting some boom in the back. Just to let you know you could also build the box around the vent like I did for my 3 8" solo barics.

I am sorry but I see no way possible to put 12's behind the seats without cutting seats or cab. It really depends on what type of 12. If it is anything good you will probably have a very large magnet, and that is where the problem lies. Oh and you have very little air space. You could probably put one twelve in there using both sides as air spacebuilding up and over the brackets and everything. That sounds like a PITA though. I was noticing the vents in the cab are actually holes cut into the cab. Has anyone thought of cutting those small holes in the bed as well and using them as vents from a larger box in the bed? That way there isn't one huge hole in the bed of the truck. I don't know how it would sound though.

If you want to put 12"s behind the seat then how about try the illusion audio subs. I'm sure you could get a couple oh them in there. The one problem is the price

Thanks for the ideas...but I already have 2 12" Koves that i want to put in. I was kinda thinking of somehow folding up the back seats and mounting the box to the floor so I can remove it if I have friends in the back if that is even do able. In the 02 there's not enough room for the speakers I have behind the rear seats.
