Guys,
According to all the wiring diagrams for the front speakers, the right should be purple and something. The left should be green and something.
I have both front with Green/Dark Green Stripe and Green/Purple Stripe. Both sides! Which is positive? This is an untouched, factory install with the AM-FM/Cassette radio. I just want to put some nice front speakers in, thats all.

i think purple = positive p=p
i just put my back speakers in and that is how it was. for the fronts, they fizzucked it up at the grommet connection, so the wires were different colors coming out of the head unit than they were coming out of the grommet into the door.
but definitely, the purple stripe was positive for my back speakers
